Ultrafast parallel single-pixel LiDAR with all-optical spectro-temporal encoding

Light detection and ranging (LiDAR) with scanning beam has been widely used in autonomous driving large-scale manufacturing, where the fast-changing scene is of great interest. However, acquisition rate current LiDAR limited by steering speed round-trip delay, hindering development video-rate LiDAR. Here, we uniquely combine all-optical encoders wavelength-division multiplexing devices to implement spectro-temporal encoding on illumination light. Parallel fast spectral can be achieved only one laser single photodetector. Our result shows fastest single-pixel date, multiplied scalability. We demonstrate 3.56-fold improvement for a maximum 75 m range compared serial A record 21.38 MHz 25 obtained. This approach potential break limitation ultrafast opens new paradigm ultrafast-frame-rate imaging systems.
